What: The 1st Annual Spring Gala to Benefit San Mateo Hep B Free
When: Thursday, April 26th at 6pm
Where: South San Francisco Convention Center (255 S Airport Blvd.)
Why: To unite community leaders, physicians, local officials, and concerned citizens to raise awareness in the Asian and Pacific Islander Population about the prevalence of hepatitis b and to raise necessary funds to continue our outreach in San Mateo County to educate, screen, and vaccinate this population at no cost.
Special Guests: Honorary guests include Assemblywoman Fiona Ma, who has been a key player in the success of the Hep B Free Campaign, and professional boxer, Ana Julaton. Ana, the first Filipina American boxer to win the Women’s WBO Super Bantamweight and IBA Super Bantamweight titles, will be announcing the campaign “Knock-Out Hep B” which she will Champion in 2012.
Highlights: Evening will feature dinner, cocktails, live entertainment, silent auction, and raffle giveaways.
